Dr. Sam Waltman has served as Executive Director of Missions for San Felipe Baptist Association since 2015. He previously served as Associate Director and Church Planting Strategist for SFBA since 2007. He is originally from Houston and currently resides in Fulshear. He received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University (1978) before completing a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (1985) and a Doctor of Ministry in missions leadership from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (2014). Before coming to San Felipe, Sam pastored churches in Pennsylvania and Texas. Sam and his wife, Beth, have three grown children and seven grandchildren.

Randy Beck joined the SFBA team since 2015. Randy and his wife, Charny, married in May of 1996. They have four beautiful daughters: Allyson, Ashley, Abigail Grace, and Anna Kate. Randy has served for over 20 years in ministry with students, families and other areas of the church. God gathered a few faithful families in the fall of 2007 to plant Water's Edge Community Church, which began weekly worship in February of 2008. Randy received his Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Baylor University in 1997. He earned a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2000.

Sofia has been a proud resident of Needville, TX for the past 24 years. She is a loving mother to four wonderful children: Sara (18), Shelby (17), Oscar Jr. (9), and Jesus (8). As a dedicated member of FBC of Beasley, TX, Sofia was baptized in the summer of 2024 and actively volunteers for the Beasley kids' program, VBS, and any other area where help is needed. Sofia's professional experience includes a decade of working at Moda Boutique in Needville, TX, where she gained valuable skills working in the office, as a sales floor associate, conducting live online video sales, and even modeling. Her passion for health and fitness drives her daily routine.
Above all, Sofia is most proud of her faith and the privilege of being a mother.
Darrell Jackson

Darrell Jackson joined the SFBA team since 2013. He and his wife Marsha have three adult children and five grandchildren. Darrell has served in ministry for over 25 years in positions that include Senior Pastor, Assistant Pastor and Minister of Music. Currently, Darrell is a Board Certified Chaplain and serves as a Certified Speaker, Coach, and Trainer on the John Maxwell Team. Darrell holds a Bachelor in Christian Leadership from the College of Biblical Studies, and a MATS and MDiv from Faith Evangelical Seminary. Darrell has served as a coach for pastors in the Baptist General Convention of Texas, as a Board Member on the San Felipe Baptist Association’s Administrative Team, and as an Adjunct Professor at The Institute for Theological Studies.
Dr. Norberto Gomez joined the SFBA team since 2013. He and his wife Eva have two children. Norberto holds a BS from East Texas Baptist University, and MDiv from Master's Graduate School of Theology, and a DMin from the Houston Graduate School of Theology. He has served in various church ministry positions since 1991. He feels called to bridge the Hispanic cultural and generational gap with the Gospel of Christ.
